About me

I have been a physiotherapist since 2000 and trained as a lymph and oedema therapist straight after that. I started my further training as a manual therapist almost immediately after passing my exams.
Helping my patients was always important to me, so I completed my studies in osteopathy at the OSD in Hamburg.

I also trained as an NLP coach according to the American Society of NLP, i.e. directly after the founder Richard Bandler.

Sport, Sport, Sport

Sport has been with me all my life. As a rower, I was invited to train with Mr Petersmann at the Olympic training centre in Dortmund. That went well until I developed a knee problem. That was the end of my competitive sports career.
I fell into a hole. Physiotherapy wasn’t ready at the time and the mental hole I fell into was also huge.
These are certainly two things that motivate me to keep getting better and better in my current vocation to help other athletes.

I have been working with athletes since I started my physiotherapy training. It started with American footballers. That was an intense and good time. Then footballers, ice hockey players, rowers and judoka came into the practice. The athletes then opened the door to Olympic sports for me.
Performance was in demand and so I was invited to coach professionals. I was taken to all kinds of training camps and competitions. From DM, Grand Slam to European Championships, World Championships and Olympic Games.

Then the travelling began. From Europe to the African continent via Russia to Asia and America. I gained many impressions and learnt a lot, including atypical things that are not taught in Germany.

The golden Hands

I am certainly very thorough and meticulous in my academic work. Finding and precisely touching structures was taught intensively by all my lecturers. And yet patients say that I really do have magic hands. Athletes are delighted and say: „Steffen, it doesn’t hurt as much with you as it does with other therapists and yet you help and improve so well.“
I am humbled and grateful for the skills that I seem to have been born with.

Thoughts about health

What we all know are the blood analyses of the imaging procedures. This includes checking the cardiovascular system, respiration and also the nervous system. Many people dedicate themselves to this in order to stay healthy.

This means that relationships with yourself and others are also important in order to be, remain or become healthy.
For me, this has to do with models of the world. In other words, how we experience the world. A good mind is certainly necessary for this.

Mentale Health

Through my curiosity and attentiveness, I have carried out studies on patients for myself. That was more of a sideline. My further training as an NLP coach and communication trainer was then very consciously chosen, as was the hypnosis training.
Mental health is crucial for health.
Why are we experiencing so much depression at the moment?
Let’s take a step back.
So how do we think about our environment and our relationships? What values and roles do we have and live by? Do the values and roles we live influence each other? What can we endure as psychological stress?
Everyone experiences this and it is very obvious in athletes.
That’s why I take a lot of time to listen carefully and also help on a mental level.We can use techniques from NLP or we can do a trance or hypnosis.
In any case, use all my resources. Your health will thank you for it.
